In The 1860s Robert Fox Peachey a bricklayer from Cambridge, moved his family to London to follow the available work. He commenced trading on his own account and brought his son Robert Frederick Peachey into the business, around 1875. The company was eventually incorporated as RF Peachey and Sons Ltd in 1930, the sons being Stanley and Ernest Peachey. |

Robert Peachey and many family members were actively involved as bricklayers in the construction of St Pancras Station, which is regarded by many, as one of the greatest examples of Victorian brickwork at its brilliant best.

During the 1930s and up to the start of the Second World War the business capitalized on the availability of cheap mortgages and inexpensive rail fares. At their peak, they employed 100 people and built over 1000 quality homes, at affordable prices. |

Additionally
during this the 1930s, the company was responsible for the new build of
a number of petrol garages and showrooms. |

| Immediately
after the Second World War, the company was heavily involved in re-construction
works until a change of direction during the 1950s, when the company broadened
its service offering to include; commercial and industrial new build together
with refurbishments. |

In
1952 a young man Brian Tierney joined the company and in 1998 he was awarded
the MBE for services to the Construction Industry. Brian was additionally
President of Federation of Master Builders for 2 years. He is still retained
by the company today as a Non Executive Director. |

| As
the years went by family members of Peachey ceded control of the business
to Brian Tierney and another Director, Keith Gibbs, ACIOB who joined the
business in 1959. Keith retains a working involvement as a Director today
with responsibilities for estimating and surveying. |

Clients
over the years include, London Transport, Arriva, Stagecoach London Underground
,Thames Water, Metropolitan Police, Tattershall Castle Group, Mears, Barracuda
Pub Company, Warwick Avenue Ltd, Sure Start and BOC to name but a few.

The
current business works across the Health, Education, Retail, Leisure,
Residential, and Commercial sectors and offers a broad range of services
which include: Reactive, Planned and Cyclical Maintenance, Minor Works
and Property Refurbishments. |

| In
October 2005 the directors and the remaining minority shareholders agreed
to sell the business to the present owner Graham Collins. |

Graham
is a vastly experienced construction professional and his involvement
offers the business a great level of stability, commitment and expertise.
Graham is a great advocate of the business continuing to trade against
a background of traditional values, which have been a cornerstone spanning
across three centuries. However, it is important that these values reflect
the individual requirements of our clients, and offer them bespoke solutions.
These solutions and the ongoing business strategy are now finely tuned
to reflect the individual needs of our clients. These include a desire
to add value to their business and to provide them with, a proactive non
confrontational service offering. |
